Another day of designing the RR…

By scottie  //  Designs  //  3 Comments

Today I got to design a 2 page obituary… We had some good pictures to use with this one.. so it came together pretty well. It’s one of the few 2 pages spreads that I’ve gotten to do that they only gave me a little text.. and plenty of pictures to choose from. I think I am starting to break them of their wanting to cram as much text on the pages as possible. Let’s hope that’s the case anyways…. Here is the spread. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know how you like it. Who knows.. maybe i will design one for you when you are dead. If they name a building after you on campus.. I’m sure I will.

more Range Rider…

By scottie  //  Uncategorized  //  No Comments

The Range Rider is coming along nicely. This page was really easy thanks to my good friend Joseph. Girls like him, cuz he has skills… Check out his photographs by clicking the link in my sidebar. The article on this page and the photograph came together nicely…

It’s officially getting crazy here…

By scottie  //  Uncategorized  //  2 Comments

Range Rider has begun the design phase (that’s my part for those of you who don’t know). There are all kinds of things to do in order to get this thing ready, and it would be nice if I could start designing at the beginning and work my way to the end, but it doesn’t work that way. Certain sections of the magazine are always ready sooner than other sections.. so I am forced to start designing somewhere in the middle and jump around from section to section until I’m finished. This time around i started on pages 40-43.. Here is a spread for your viewing pleasure.

Preaching Conference Brochure…

By scottie  //  Uncategorized  //  3 Comments

Updated 1.22.07. Approved! It’s a new year and I’m ready to do some great designs in 2007. I started with this preaching conference brochure for Logsdon Seminary. The client hasn’t approved this one yet, so I’m holding out in hope that they will go for it. They’ve been known to shoot down designs that aren’t as… hmm… what’s the word? Safe? Conservative? Anyways… we shall see if this one gets to go to the printer or if I have to start over. It’s the normal ole trifold brochure.. Here is Side 1, and Side 2.
